How to use audiences imported from Google BigQuery™

Starting with OpenText™ TeamSite™ CE 22.4, web product specialists and digital marketing managers can easily import audiences created in Google BigQuery™.

Google BigQuery is a fully managed cloud-based analytics data warehouse where large amounts of data can be managed and analyzed. The data in Google BigQuery is user-defined and can be collected from a variety of sources, including CRM systems, legacy back-end systems, data in other cloud services, external data, or even Google Analytics. The OpenText Experience CDP integration with Google BigQuery allows enterprises to import profile and audience membership data into Experience CDP from external sources.

The OpenText Experience CDP connector allows TeamSite to import Google BigQuery audiences for content targeting. Audience membership tables in BigQuery are defined by a member of your enterprise. In most cases, a data administrator creates the audience membership table in BigQuery through the browser interface. Data is added to the table as part of an analysis job or the data is imported from an external source. Audience Data Integrations are used to configure Experience CDP to interpret the BigQuery table as containing audience memberships.

Once imported into TeamSite, external segments can be used for content targeting using page variants and targeting rules in the same way as Optimost audiences or TeamSite internal segments. When the website is live, LiveSite will communicate in real time with Experience CDP to get the Google BigQuery audience mapping of each individual web visitor and apply targeting appropriately.
