Secure information management for AI

Redcentric's Journey: AI-Driven IT Operations with OpenText OpsBridge and SMAX

At the Gartner conference in London, Harald Burose, Director of Product Management at OpenText, speaks with Paul Mardling, CTO of Redcentric, about the company’s IT journey and adoption of OpenText solutions. Paul shares insights into Redcentric’s history, including its merger with Pexa in late 2021 and subsequent integration of various IT systems. As Redcentric’s CTO, Paul oversees internal infrastructure and the transition to a more modern IT operations management stack.

Paul explains how Redcentric replaced legacy systems, including BMC Remedy, with OpenText’s OpsBridge for advanced event correlation and SMAX for service management. The switch enabled Redcentric to consolidate disparate monitoring solutions across multiple acquisitions into a unified platform. OpsBridge's powerful event correlation capabilities significantly reduce noise, ensuring that duplicate alerts are minimized, and engineers focus on high-priority incidents. By utilizing AI-driven anomaly detection and event clustering, Redcentric aims to detect issues before they escalate, thus preventing outages and improving mean time to repair.

The discussion also touches on the company’s future roadmap, including deeper integration of AI for automating root cause analysis and further reducing manual workload. Paul emphasizes the importance of automation in streamlining IT operations, enabling the team to handle issues more efficiently and focus on higher-value tasks. The collaboration with OpenText has equipped Redcentric with a modern ITSM suite that supports continuous improvement and adaptability
